A 70,000 sf learning commons proposed for the campus of Forsyth Technical Community College that promotes academic success through biophilic, collaborative spaces that prioritize social interaction, natural light, and ubiquitous connection with outdoor spaces. This is accomplished through a tiered building design that incorporates accessible vegetated roofs on each level, skylights to allow diffused sunlight into the most interior spaces, an interior garden, and collaboration-conducive furniture selections.
